Bro. Ted Eccleshall R.O.H. Provincial Grand Primo, 1997 President of Examining Council, 1999 & 2006 Knight President, 2002 R.O.H. Assembly President, 2006 Knight Secretary

Bro. Ted was initiated into the Welcome Lodge, No. 2324, Chorley Province on 26th February 1988 and was raised by them to Certified Primo on 1st September 1989.

He was raised by them to Knight of the Order of Merit on 14th February 1993 and to Roll of Honour Member on 31st May 1998.

He has served as City Secretary of the Welcome Lodge since 1989.

In 1997 he affiliated to the Alma Lodge.

He was Welcome Lodge delegate to PGL in 1990 and was elected to his first PGL office in 1991. He was elected to be Provincial Grand Primo of Chorley for 1997. As a member of PGL he has served on the Executive Committee, Examining Council, Community Services Committee, as book examiner for the Province and as a PGL Trustee. He also served as Grand Lodge Delegate for the Province for several years.

He is a keen member of Knights Chapter, serving as Knight Secretary from 2004 to 2008. He has been a member of the Chorley Roll of Honour Assembly since being raised to the 4th Degree, serving as President for the year of 2006.

Bro. Ted is also a keen angler and likes to fish whenever the opportunity allows. He has attended the Buff fishing match at Burton several times and recommends it as a thoughroughly good day out (even though he has not had much personal success there).
